Transportation

McLean Gardens is convenient to both bus and rail public transportation by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Association (WMATA), serving the whole DC/MD/VA region.  The WMATA website provides extensive information.  Of particular value is the “trip planner” rider tool.

Metro Rail
Three red-line metro stops are within a mile of McLean Gardens: Cleveland Park, VanNess/UDC, and Tenleytown/AU.

Metro Bus
Wisconsin Avenue is a major bus transportation route.  There are two bus stops on Wisconsin between Newark St. and Idaho Ave. and another on Newark St.  There are two more bus stops at Rodman St. and Wisconsin Ave.

30, 32, 34, 35,36 - Pennsylvania Avenue Line - (runs between Friendship Heights, downtown DC, Capitol Hill, and Southeast)

90, 92 - U Street / Garfield Line - (runs between McLean Gardens, Woodley Park, Adams Morgan, U Street, Shaw and Anacostia)

H4 - Crosstown Line - (runs between Tenleytown metro station, Cleveland Park, Columbia Heights, Washington Hospital Center and Brookland metro station)

N2, N3, N4, N6 - Massachusetts Avenue Line - (runs between Friendship Heights, Wesley Heights, Dupont Circle and downtown DC)

N8 - Wesley Heights Loop - (runs between Van Ness metro, Tenleytown Metro, Spring Valley, and Wesley Heights)
