In-Unit Maintenance Program

The Association and Management offer a low-cost alternative to hiring outside contractors for many minor, routine repairs – the In-Unit Maintenance Program.

Any unit owner is eligible to participate in this program.  Owners who rent their units may authorize their tenants to participate.  Unit owners should complete and submit an In-Unit Maintenance Program Enrollment Form to the office.  There is a one-time enrollment fee of $30.

A range of maintenance services is available.  Residents report satisfaction with both the quality of service and the prices for minor but needed repairs.  There are annually posted hourly rates for services, depending on the type of service provided, and a fixed price list for parts.

The program provides these services.  Click here for the In-Unit Maintenance Service Request Form.

  • carpentry work – minor drywall repair and painting; window pane replacement; fixing shelves, towel racks, shower rods;
  • electric switches and outlets;
  • plumbing services, including clogged drains; replacing washers, showerheads, faucets; basic toilet repair; replacement of valves; caulking.

The McLean Gardens maintenance staff uses a courtesy/convenience key to enter units for In-Unit Maintenance work requests.

For questions about the program, call the office (202) 966-9780.
