McLean Gardens - - Glover Archbold Park and Nature Trail
Glover Archbold Park and Nature Trail

This undeveloped parkland is maintained by the National Park Service. It is a strip of forest with a stream, Foundry Branch, and a path that runs for about 2.5 miles from Van Ness St. at its north end all the way to Canal Road at the south.  McLean Gardens borders the park on its western boundary.

The park is a favorite with birders who look for migratory birds, particularly those that like forest areas, such as warblers and thrushes. Many other species live in the park year-round. The park is also home to a variety of flora and fauna.

The park trail is for foot traffic only (no bicycles).  Dogs are allowed provided they are leashed and walkers dispose of pet waste properly.  The park is open during daylight hours only.
