Bicycles

A good number of McLean Gardens residents are cyclists and our location affords ready access to the city’s many bicycle trails.  The website of bikewashington.org provides much information for cyclists.

Our two local Metrorail stations have facilities for bicycle storage, racks (first come, first use), and rental lockers.  There is also a Bike ‘N Ride program for both Metrorail and Metrobuses. And there is a Capital Bicycle Exchange station on Wisconsin Ave. between Newark and Macomb Streets.

McLean Gardens has seven bike racks of the double-sided wheel loop variety which are designed for fourteen bikes, plus a one-sided fence rack.  Residents park their cycles in these racks at their own risk; there have been a few instances of vandalism and theft.
